Tasting with the Nutritionist Biologist

For guests always attentive to their well-being, we thought of this unprecedented experience with the biologist nutritionist Doc. Valentina Casale. In fact, after visiting the vineyards and the historic cellar in the medieval village of Scarpatetti, the participants will sit at the table tasting the various food products typical of the Valtellina, while the doctor will illustrate the different nutritional values; naturally everything will be paired by the tasting of our wines.

N.B.: not reachable by car because Limited Traffic Zone and therefore it will be necessary to park in via Largo Pedrini at the underground parking of the GARBERIA shopping center. In any case, parking is included in the package rate (offer valid from Monday to Saturday; on Sunday parking is closed, but surface parking spaces throughout Sondrio are free).


Participants will be led on foot (3-4 minutes of soft walking) in the city vineyard of Scarpatetti. We recommend suitable footwear (sneakers or trekking shoes) for moving.

The nutritionist biologist Doc. VALENTINA CASALE will guide us in a detailed study of the Valtellina products from a nutritional and health point of view. In fact, the excellence of Valtellina, wine, cheeses, salami and rye bread fall within the food pyramid of the Mediterranean diet to the point that what is called the Valtellinese Food Pyramid was created to demonstrate that a varied diet with local foods, between balance and taste is the key to our health.

The famous Bresaola della Valtellina IGP, the black pork salami from Valchiavenna, the prestigious cheeses derived from cow's milk in the pastures such as Valtellina Casera and Bitto DOP, Grasso d’Alpe, Latteria and Scimudin, with high biological value proteins, rich in calcium, vitamins and minerals, together with the rye bread and with rye flour from Valtellina, grown in a natural way without the use of pesticides, will paired the tasting of the emblem of the Valtellinena food and wine pleasure, our Wines:

Valtellina wines are rich in polyphenols, such as the now known Resveratrol which, known for its inhibiting activity of the oxidation of LDL cholesterol reduces the level of cholesterol and triglycerides.

The explanation of curiosities such as the "French paradox", of peculiarities, properties and scientific evidence will help us understand how the safeguarding of products and traditions as conscious choices is the basis of psychophysical well-being.

Duration of the tour about 2,5 hours.
Opportunity to purchase our wines directly in the cellar.


Tour will be carried out with a minimum of 4 people and a maximum of 8.
With the current restrictions, the distance of at least 1 m between the participants will be guaranteed. The facial mask will be mandatory (just to entry in the local and participants must bring it from home).

Reservation is required at least 48 hours in advance

In case of bad weather, only the visit to the cellar and the wine tasting will be carried out.

Animals are NOT allowed.
